Life-long training & career development
This activity encompasses three different Marie Curie Actions:
- Intra-European Fellowships for Career Development (IEF)
- European Reintegration Grants (ERG)
- Co-funding of Regional, National and International Programmes (COFUND)
These actions aim to support the career development of experienced researchers at different stages of their careers, and seek to enhance their individual competence diversification in terms of skill acquisition at multi- or interdisciplinary level and/or by undertaking intersectoral experiences. The aim is to support researchers in attaining and/or strengthening a leading independent position, e.g. principal investigator, professor or other senior position in education or enterprise. The actions can also assist researchers to resume a career in research after a break.
Intra-European Fellowships are addressed directly to researchers wishing to undergo a mobility period in another EU member state or Associated Country. European Reintegration Grants are a measure to assist researchers who have already benefitted from a Marie Curie fellowship to (re-)integrate into a host institution with a view to their longer term career development. The co-funding scheme allows funding bodies to apply for co-funding of their mobility fellowship schemes for experienced researchers.
Details of these schemes can be found on the FP7 - People website on CORDIS in the section dedicated to Life-long training and career development.
