Collaborate to Innovate - European Research and Innovation Funding for SMEs. InterTradeIreland, in conjunction with the European Commission Office in Northern Ireland, is holding a conference on the 7th June 2012 at the Titanic Belfast, to promote EU funding opportunities for collaborative research available to companies, academics and interested organisations from Northern Ireland and Ireland.

The Industrial Technologies 2012 Conference will highlight the knowledge intensive products and processes driving European growth to 2020, identifying solutions to improve the framework conditions for innovation in Europe. It will offer integrated coverage of nanoscience and nanotechnology, materials, and new production processes (NMP). The event takes place during the Danish Presidency of the European Council.

Please be aware that the next FP7 Space information day is scheduled to take place at the University of Surrey (UK) from 20th-21st June 2012. Attendance is strongly recommended for those intending to lead a submission or those interested in seeking consortium partners. There will also be opportunities to present project ideas and attend brokerage sessions with face to face meetings.

The 18th Annual Conference of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators will take place between 8th -11th July 2012 in Trinity College, Dublin, during the celebration of ‘Dublin, City of Science 2012' and just prior to the 2012 European Science Open Forum. The EARMA conference will focus on the upcoming HORIZON 2020 programme, ongoing research management and professional development.

NET4SOCIETY, the network of National Contact Points, supporting and promoting Socio-Economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) researchers’ engagement in FP7, will host a transnational research and brokerage event, which is an official satellite event of the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF). The event will be themed around the 2012 European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations and will focus on the human and social aspects and implications of active ageing.
